How to Re-Configure NEC DT900 - NEC Univerge Blue manually - Carry this out when the NEC DT900 has lost its config
First ensure the handset is connected to the network...
Once the handset has found an IP address via DHCP
Find the IP address manually from the handset by pressing the "Multi" key on the phone and then the settings (Cog Symbol) Soft Key under the LCD screen
Scroll down to Status - Press Select
Scroll down to Network Information - Press Select
From your laptop browse to the IP address and login - the login details can be found from the univerge blue portal under the device
Oncer logged in follow these instructions
Via Admin Web UI
Steps to stub the phone via the web UI are:
- Navigate to the IP address of the phone in the Chrome browser
- Enter the current User Name and password and log into the UI. The default username is ADMIN, and the default password is 6633222
- If the phone requires a new admin password, enter the new password, click Change and wait for the phone to reboot. Once the phone has rebooted, proceed
- Navigate to Network Settings
- Navigate to the Boot Server section
- Under Server Address enter config.telecomsvc.com
- Under Server Port enter 1443
- Under Protocol select HTTPS
- Under Source Preference select Manual Configuration
- Navigate to SNTP
- For Server Address enter 64.28.115.137
- Navigate to the top of the page and click Submit
- Click Save to reboot the phone.
Note: You can configure the VLAN for the NEC phone's PC Port via the phone's configuration file, but for the LAN Port VLAN, please utilize DHCP or LLDP settings on the customer's network.
